The story
The ert padded chair is part of studioutte's SOFT SOLID collection, a seat built from seven wooden boards and resolved with the formal logic of Dutch Neoplasticism.
A slender band wraps the square seat, supported by a central post. The band twists as it rises from the legs to the low backrest, where a half-moon shape is carved into the upper board. Thick slab-like arms frame the seat, and the overall form is architectural rather than ergonomic: proportions drawn from geometry, not comfort conventions.
This version is presented in glossy pale ochre lacquer, finished with a padded cushion upholstered in ivory Dedar fabric. The lacquer is applied in Milan, and the textile choice reflects studioutte's close relationship with Italian suppliers. The pairing of warm ochre and ivory holds the piece within the tonal range that defines the SOFT SOLID collection.

About Studioutte
Established in 2020, studioutte is a Milan-based multidisciplinary practice for architecture, interiors and collectible design. The name draws from the German *hütte*, meaning hut or shelter, a word that carries the spirit of the studio's approach.
Guglielmo Giagnotti and Patrizio Gola founded studioutte around a shared philosophy of warm minimalism: a pursuit of purity through vernacular forms, primitive essence, and poetic restraint. Furniture is conceived as small architectural objects. Their pieces are made from solid wood, raw metal, and occasional polyester lacquer, materials valued for the patina and imperfections that develop with time and use. Production is entirely handcrafted in collaboration with Italian artisans in Padova, Milan, and the wider Lombard region.
Delivery
Every piece is packed and shipped under insurance, from the workshop to you. White glove delivery (unpacking, installation, packaging removal) is available on request. Delivery is not charged at checkout: we send you a quote within 24 business hours of your order. You have 5 days to accept and pay it (secure payment link or bank transfer), otherwise your order is cancelled and fully refunded.
