The story
The ert club armchair is a piece of Dutch Neoplasticist geometry realized by Studioutte in blonde burl wood for the SOFT SOLID collection.
Seven wooden boards make up the entire structure. A slender band wraps the square seat, supported at center by a single post that twists from the leg line to the low backrest, where a half-moon cutout defines the upper edge. The form has no redundant element. Every board, every angle is structural and visible.
For this Monde Singulier exclusive, Studioutte presents ert in a glossy blonde burl wood. The grain of the burl, naturally irregular and richly figured, contrasts with the chair's strict geometry. A padded cushion upholstered in ivory velvet by Dedar occupies the seat, the only soft element in an otherwise hard-edged form.
The ert club armchair, part of SOFT SOLID, translates Studioutte's reading of Neoplasticism from architecture into furniture conceived as a small sculptural object.
About Studioutte
Established in 2020, studioutte is a Milan-based multidisciplinary practice for architecture, interiors and collectible design. The name draws from the German *hütte*, meaning hut or shelter, a word that carries the spirit of the studio's approach.
Guglielmo Giagnotti and Patrizio Gola founded studioutte around a shared philosophy of warm minimalism: a pursuit of purity through vernacular forms, primitive essence, and poetic restraint. Furniture is conceived as small architectural objects. Their pieces are made from solid wood, raw metal, and occasional polyester lacquer, materials valued for the patina and imperfections that develop with time and use. Production is entirely handcrafted in collaboration with Italian artisans in Padova, Milan, and the wider Lombard region.
Delivery
Every piece is packed and shipped under insurance, from the workshop to you. White glove delivery (unpacking, installation, packaging removal) is available on request. Delivery is not charged at checkout: we send you a quote within 24 business hours of your order. You have 5 days to accept and pay it (secure payment link or bank transfer), otherwise your order is cancelled and fully refunded.
