The Nizwa Floor Lamp is defined by its column: seven inverted conical ceramic segments stacked one above the other, each coated in a variegated teal glaze that shifts tone across the surface. The stacking reads as sculptural as much as structural, with the slight variations in glaze giving the piece its primary visual character.
Above, a textured off-white drum shade diffuses rather than directs the light. Below, a dark brown wooden base anchors the composition without competing with the ceramic work it supports. A light brown electrical cord keeps the material palette consistent to the base.
Named after Nizwa, a historic city in Oman with deep roots in ceramic and metalwork craft, the lamp draws a line between artisan traditions there and the handcrafted production of the Barracuda Collection in Portugal. Designed by Alexandre, who trained in Paris before founding Barracuda Interiors in 2018.
