The Arrábida Armchair is a low-profile lounge chair upholstered in light beige fabric, with continuous piping that follows the angled, tapering outline of the seat and back. The piping is structural in effect: it traces the geometry of the chair rather than decorating it, making the silhouette legible from any angle.
A recessed plinth base in dark brown wood supports the chair from below, providing visual counterweight to the pale upholstery above. The contrast is clear but not aggressive: the dark base grounds the piece without competing with the lightness of the fabric.
Named after the Arrábida natural park on Portugal's Atlantic coast, the armchair sits within the Barracuda Collection's broader geography of place-based references. Each piece is designed and handcrafted in Portugal by Alexandre, who trained at two of Paris' most distinguished interior design studios alongside Chahan Minassian and François-Joseph Graf before founding Barracuda Interiors.
