Barracuda Collection - San Romano Sofa

The San Romano Sofa is a low-profile seating piece with a light-toned wooden frame and a broad, close-to-ground base. Its curved silhouette is structured by an angled backrest built from vertical wooden slats that run the full length of the piece. Off-white textile cushions sit against the frame without contrast in weight: the ensemble reads as light, precise, and contained.

The organic curvature of the form is handled with the kind of discipline that comes from making by hand. The joints are clean, the proportions considered, and the slat spacing on the backrest gives the piece a measured regularity.

Part of the Barracuda Collection, the San Romano Sofa is designed and handcrafted in Portugal by Alexandre, who spent years working alongside Chahan Minassian and François-Joseph Graf at two of Paris' leading interior design studios before establishing Barracuda Interiors in 2018.
