The Villandry Coffee Table pairs a light beige stone top, crossed by subtle veining, with a base of four dark brown wooden blocks. On the outer face of each block: a circular gold-toned medallion and a thin metal strip running along the lower edge. These details are present rather than prominent, adding precision to the base without asserting themselves.
The material argument is the contrast between pale veined stone and rich dark wood, with gold accents bridging the two registers: warm enough to relate to the wood, restrained enough not to overwhelm the stone.
Named after the Villandry châteaux in France's Loire Valley, the table sits within the Barracuda Collection's geography of named places. Each piece is designed and handcrafted in Portugal by Alexandre, a Paris-trained designer who spent his formative years in the ateliers of Chahan Minassian and François-Joseph Graf before founding Barracuda Interiors in 2018.
