The Vega bench is the most restrained piece in Giulio Zizzari's Urano collection. Its logic is reduction: two massive marble blocks bookend a single narrow textile cushion, and nothing else.
Each end block is cut from Verde Alpi marble, teal-green with pronounced white veining. The stone is carved with a slight inward curve at the support point, a detail that softens the visual weight and creates a cradle-like tension between the monumental stone and the narrow charcoal chenille running between them. The bench reads as a study in opposites: hard stone and soft textile, generous width and narrow seat, geological permanence and everyday function.
Named for Vega, the brightest star in the constellation Lyra and one of the vertices of the Summer Triangle. The name suggests quiet radiance: an object that holds the room without asking for attention.
Within the Urano collection, Vega introduces the only horizontal line among pieces that are otherwise compact and vertical.

About
Giulio Zizzari
Giulio Zizzari (b. 1996) is an Italian designer driven by form, material, and presence. His practice moves between collectible design, architecture, and image-making, where objects, spaces, and visual narratives are conceived with the same sculptural sensibility.
"Giulio Zizzari" is dedicated to collectible design, creating sculptural furniture and objects through both singular pieces and limited series. Alongside this, he develops architectural projects, approaching space as a physical and material composition. "StudioGZ" is a 3D visualization and creative direction studio specialized in photorealistic imagery and animation for architecture and design, acting as a bridge between concept, vision, and representation.
Through both practices, Giulio Zizzari investigates the relationship between the real and the virtual, using design, architecture, and image as interconnected tools to give form to matter, space, and imagination.
Works by Giulio Zizzari are available through Monde Singulier.
