International - Bench

The International bench by BATEAUMAGNE is built on a low rectangular base, its surface shaped by two parallel half-cylinders that run the full length. The form is immediately clear: two rounded ridges, no sharp angles, nothing extraneous.

The upholstery is a Pierre Frey corded wool in warm beige, interwoven with fine multicolored stitches that surface as small flecks of color across the fabric. Soft to the touch, precise to the eye. The same speckled textile runs over each cylinder without interruption, unifying the double form into a single continuous gesture.

Proportioned for a reading corner or the foot of a bed, the bench holds its scale without demanding attention. Its low profile and neutral palette make it an anchor without insistence, the piece that organizes a space rather than narrating it.
