Eros is the most architecturally precise piece in Giulio Zizzari's Urano collection: a T-form rendered in three materials that reads simultaneously as side table, pedestal, and sculptural object.
The form is a compressed vertical hierarchy. A matte black rectangular top with rounded corners sits on a glossy black cylindrical body, which in turn rests on a teal-green marble base with intricate white veining. Each transition is deliberate: from matte to gloss, from straight edge to curve, from industrial lacquer to raw stone. The three-part composition is the piece's argument.
The marble base carries the Verde Alpi character of the wider Urano collection: teal ground, white veining, geological weight. Against the precision of the matte black above, the stone's natural variation becomes a contrast that gives the piece its tension.
Eros takes its name from asteroid 433 Eros, a near-Earth rock whose name belongs to myth but whose nature is geological. That compression of the soft and the hard, the named and the nameless, is the piece's conceptual core.

About
Giulio Zizzari
Giulio Zizzari (b. 1996) is an Italian designer driven by form, material, and presence. His practice moves between collectible design, architecture, and image-making, where objects, spaces, and visual narratives are conceived with the same sculptural sensibility.
"Giulio Zizzari" is dedicated to collectible design, creating sculptural furniture and objects through both singular pieces and limited series. Alongside this, he develops architectural projects, approaching space as a physical and material composition. "StudioGZ" is a 3D visualization and creative direction studio specialized in photorealistic imagery and animation for architecture and design, acting as a bridge between concept, vision, and representation.
Through both practices, Giulio Zizzari investigates the relationship between the real and the virtual, using design, architecture, and image as interconnected tools to give form to matter, space, and imagination.
Works by Giulio Zizzari are available through Monde Singulier.
