The Salvante S1 side table pairs travertine and onyx in an asymmetric composition: a single cylindrical travertine leg on one side, two veined onyx slabs on the other. The round top is travertine with a circular onyx inlay, echoing the mineral contrast in the base. The S1 is the only Salvante piece where onyx functions structurally, not only as a surface detail.
The compact format of the S1 makes it the most legible piece in the series. The material contrast between travertine and veined onyx reads clearly at this scale, whether placed beside a chair or at the end of a sofa.

Piotr Dabrowa (born 1990) trained in graphic design before turning to objects in 2011. The shift is visible in how he works: he reads furniture as a problem of visual weight and proportion before considering its function, a graphic designer's instinct applied to stone and form.
