The story
The Salvante C1 coffee table is a low, circular form in travertine with an asymmetric base: one cylindrical stone column on one side, a stack of flat rectangular slabs on the other. Both supports rise from the same travertine as the top, keeping the piece formally unified despite the structural contrast. A circular onyx inlay sits flush in the tabletop, positioned above the cylindrical base it echoes.
Seen from above, the C1 reads as a simple disc. Seen in profile, the base reveals its formal complexity. Travertine's natural character (warm tone, visible pore structure) means each table is slightly different.
Part of the Salvante collection, an MS Exclusive on Monde Singulier.
About Piotr Dabrowa
Piotr Dabrowa (born 1990) trained in graphic design before turning to objects in 2011. The shift is visible in how he works: he reads furniture as a problem of visual weight and proportion before considering its function, a graphic designer's instinct applied to stone and form.
Based in Poland, he founded Studio-Dabrowa in 2020. The practice is small by design. Dabrowa collaborates directly with specialist European manufacturers, keeping production close to his material sources and limiting output to what can be made carefully. The studio covers collectible lighting and furniture, both in limited editions.
