The story
The Salvante D1 dining table has an elongated oval top in veined travertine, balanced on two cylindrical stone bases. Two circular onyx inlays sit flush in the surface, white against the warm stone ground, adding contrast without interrupting the plane. The design is restrained: travertine in two formal registers, the mass of the bases and the horizontal plane of the top.
Onyx appears here as a precise detail. The circular inlays are flush and smooth, a graphic mark that gives the eye a point of focus without breaking the material logic.
Part of the Salvante collection by Piotr Dabrowa, an MS Exclusive limited edition on Monde Singulier.
About Piotr Dabrowa
Piotr Dabrowa (born 1990) trained in graphic design before turning to objects in 2011. The shift is visible in how he works: he reads furniture as a problem of visual weight and proportion before considering its function, a graphic designer's instinct applied to stone and form.
Based in Poland, he founded Studio-Dabrowa in 2020. The practice is small by design. Dabrowa collaborates directly with specialist European manufacturers, keeping production close to his material sources and limiting output to what can be made carefully. The studio covers collectible lighting and furniture, both in limited editions.
