The story
This stunning Alveo coffee table is guaranteed to be the focus of attention when you entertain guests in your living room. Following the glamorous mid-century look of other classic Willy Rizzo designs, the deep ruby red lacquered table is inset with an eye-catching brass bar rack at its center, with brass angles, which create a wonderfully radiant negative space in the surface of the piece. A truly unique piece of furniture, and one of the most iconic Willy Rizzo pieces, fully restored and relacquered, found in a really good vintage condition, with beautiful brass patina.
About Willy Rizzo
Italian photographer and designer Willy Rizzo (1928-2013) made his name at Paris Match photographing celebrities, then began designing furniture in the 1960s. His coffee tables, bar tables and consoles, in brass, chrome, lacquer and travertine, reflect the glamour of the 1970s and were produced by his own company and by Cidue. Collectors look for signed pieces, especially the bar tables with integrated storage.
