The story

These beautiful gueridon side tables by Maison Jansen were created with typical French neoclassical style gunmetal and solid brass mix in the early 1970s. The thick round glass top is finishing the pair smoothly. Their sophisticated design is typical of the French neoclassical work by Maison Jansen and offers a timeless look and feel. Both tables have been fully cleaned, and are in a great vintage condition.

About Maison Jansen

Maison Jansen was founded in Paris in 1880 by the Dutch-born Jean-Henri Jansen and became one of the most influential decorating houses of the twentieth century. Under Stéphane Boudin it worked for royal households and notably advised on the restoration of the White House under Jacqueline Kennedy. Its furniture, in a refined neoclassical taste, includes brass palm tree lamps and lacquered pieces. Collectors look for stamped or documented Jansen furniture.
