The story

This chic bar cart from the 1960s carries with it the elegant mood of the neoclassical post art deco period. Glittering in an antiqued gold gilt finish, this iron craft bar cart adds a glam twist which makes a gracious compliment to both traditional and modern spaces. It’s set on functioning wheels and has 2/3 transparent glass surfaces on which to store your bottles of top-shelf liquors. Its sophisticated and clean design are typical of the French neoclassical work by Maison Jansen and offer a timeless look. This bar cart is found in very good vintage condition.

About Maison Jansen

Maison Jansen was founded in Paris in 1880 by the Dutch-born Jean-Henri Jansen and became one of the most influential decorating houses of the twentieth century. Under Stéphane Boudin it worked for royal households and notably advised on the restoration of the White House under Jacqueline Kennedy. Its furniture, in a refined neoclassical taste, includes brass palm tree lamps and lacquered pieces. Collectors look for stamped or documented Jansen furniture.
