The story
Simple lines point to these two-tier end tables french mid-century roots. Designed by Guy Lefevre for Maison Jansen, it features silky steel legs, with light blue lacquered top and drawer, with mirrored shelf under. Its symmetry and strong architectural design combine to create a nice 1970s feel, and they can also be displayed in a bedroom as a beautiful pair or night stands. It looks minimal and elegant, and offers a timeless, simple yet sophisticated look, signature of Guy Lefevre’s work. Fully restored and relacquered, they are found in a really good vintage condition.
About Maison Jansen
Maison Jansen was founded in Paris in 1880 by the Dutch-born Jean-Henri Jansen and became one of the most influential decorating houses of the twentieth century. Under Stéphane Boudin it worked for royal households and notably advised on the restoration of the White House under Jacqueline Kennedy. Its furniture, in a refined neoclassical taste, includes brass palm tree lamps and lacquered pieces. Collectors look for stamped or documented Jansen furniture.
