The story
The W&M 25 Curule Armchair comes from a collaboration between Walter & Moretti and Tristan Auer, an interior architect whose practice centers on Parisian luxury interiors.
The piece takes its name from the Roman curule seat and reworks that historical form through Walter & Moretti's aluminum craft. A glossy, curved cream-colored aluminum base runs close to the ground, its fluid lines consistent with the spatial design vocabulary the brand developed in the 1970s. Above it, a dark brown seat of horizontal slats is suspended on a connecting strap. The contrast of the warm wood-toned textile against pale aluminum gives the chair its visual tension. Small silver accents mark the joints.
Like every piece in the Walter & Moretti catalog, the Curule Armchair is a limited edition, handcrafted in France by a select team of technicians and artisans. Available through Monde Singulier.
About Walter & Moretti
Olivier Oksman is a French interior architect and aluminum furniture designer, trained at École Camondo in Paris. He is the owner and creative director of Walter & Moretti, an aluminum furniture brand established in 1972, today one of France's most consistent voices in collectible design.
Walter & Moretti's aesthetic draws directly from the space age vision of the 1970s: clean geometric volumes, pure lines, minimal ornamentation. Oksman works within the brand's founding language while refining it; each piece carries the visual logic of that era without becoming nostalgic. The result is furniture that reads as contemporary without erasing its origins.
Delivery
Every piece is packed and shipped under insurance, from the workshop to you. White glove delivery (unpacking, installation, packaging removal) is available on request. Delivery is not charged at checkout: we send you a quote within 24 business hours of your order. You have 5 days to accept and pay it (secure payment link or bank transfer), otherwise your order is cancelled and fully refunded.
