The story

This tall bronze table lamp was designed and produced by Willy Daro in the 1970s. It has the visual impact of a modernist sculpture. This rare model is made of solid polished bronze, shaped like a thin bird. The result is the impression that this poetic lamp is a unique work of art. All Willy Daro pieces were handmade, remaining a small production, heavy and highly qualitative. It has been fully cleaned, restored and re-electrified, and is found in an amazing condition. Rare, this lamp would make any space feel chic and special. Paired with a beige silk and linen fabric lampshade.

About Willy Daro

Willy Daro was a Belgian designer known for lighting and furniture in bronze and brass of the 1960s and 1970s. His lamps take floral forms, tulips, lotus flowers and branches, sometimes combined with Lucite, mother of pearl or stone, and his tables include the Bonsai coffee table. His work sits between decoration and sculpture. Collectors look for signed pieces with well preserved patina and original elements.
