The story
This pair of gueridon tables from the 1970’s is a beautiful example of French design firm Maison Romeo Paris. With its sleek look, it feels inspired by Art Deco design, like André Arbus and Jean-Michel Frank, using the tripode shape with rings finish. The structure is made of varnished brass, with amazing black and golden orange straw marquetry pattern tops. This pair of tables feels elegant and timeless. Would definitely be a beautiful addition to most interiors.
About Romeo Paris
Maison Roméo was a Paris house active in the 1970s, producing lighting and furniture in polished brass, chrome and glass. Its lamps and tables, sometimes associated with designers such as Jean-Claude Mahey, combine geometric metal forms with luxurious finishes typical of French decoration of the period. Collectors look for pieces in good original condition, with bright metal and intact glass or shades.
