Table à diner dites T35 C par Pierre Chapo.
Des sections de bois savamment profilées constituent, par assemblage, les piétements des tables et des chaises de la génération de meubles conçus entre 1972 et 1976. La forme du plateau de T 35 est rectangulaire et le plateau réclame une grande portée, surtout dans les versions qui mesurent près de trois mètres de long. De fait, les pieds nécessitent un degré d’inclinaison prononcé; les sections du piètement sont longues et espacées les unes par rapport aux autres. La T 35 est un véritable défi architectural dans la mesure où le piètement diffère en fonction de la taille du plateau.

About Pierre Chapo
Pierre Chapo (1927-1987) was a French designer and cabinetmaker who trained as an architect and worked in Scandinavia before opening his own workshop, later based in Gordes, Provence. Working primarily in solid elm, he developed a vocabulary of honest joinery and robust forms, as in the S45 Chlorophylle chair and his dining tables. Collectors seek pieces from his own workshop in original condition with a good natural patina.
