The story

This pair of stainless steel ottomans from the 1970s era was designed by Paul Geoffroy and manufactured by Uginox from 1972 to 1979, and it almost looks as though it hasn’t been touched since then. The round shapes with sharp assembly, combined with slick stainless steel and khaki green alcantara fabric is really a thing of beauty. They have been fully restored, repolished, and reupholstered with a nubuck alcantara fabric from Lelievre.

About Paul Geoffroy

French designer Paul Geoffroy worked from the 1950s into the 1970s. In the 1950s he designed easy chairs for Airborne, and in the 1970s lounge chairs in brushed stainless steel for Uginox, as well as pieces edited by Roche Bobois. His work combines modernist construction with comfort and a clear, graphic line. Collectors look for his Airborne seating and his steel Uginox pieces, which are rarer and closely tied to 1970s French design.
