The story
This beautiful table lamp produced by Atelier Michel Armand in the 1970s has the visual impact of a modernist sculpture. This rare model, named L’Envol, is made of solid bronze fully gilded, and shaped as a small flame. The result is the impression that this poetic lamp is a unique work of art. Indeed, all Michel Armand pieces were handmade, remaining a small production, heavy and highly qualitative. It has been fully cleaned, restored and re-electrified, and is found in an amazing condition. Rare, this lamp would make any space feel chic and special.
About Michel Armand
French designer Michel Armand worked in the 1970s, creating sculptural lamps in cast bronze. His table lamps take the form of stylised flowers, flames and organic volumes, in natural, gilt or nickel-plated bronze, where the metal itself becomes the diffuser or frames the light source. Collectors look for signed pieces with crisp casting and preserved patinas, which show his work as a meeting point of sculpture and lighting.
