The story
This rare pair of Italian Mid-Century two drawers black lacquered nightstands or end tables would be stunning in any room. Designed by Luciano Frigerio for Frigerio Di Desio in Italy in the early 1970s, the shiny black lacquer paired with the mix of polished and brushed brass materials of these tables is a thing of beauty. Both materials reflect light in a subdued way and create a warm and chic color palette. In very good vintage condition, it is a fine example of high-quality Italian design and craftsmanship.
About Luciano Frigerio
Italian designer who led Frigerio di Desio, a family furniture company based in Desio, in the Brianza region north of Milan. From the 1960s to the 1980s he designed sideboards, cabinets, tables, sofas and lamps, often in lacquered wood, rosewood, leather and polished metal, with a taste for bold, sculptural volumes. Collectors appreciate the quality of manufacture and the confident, sometimes theatrical character of his pieces.
