The story
Natural bamboo as the chief material, the patterned marquetry creates a beautiful symmetry, with an organic aesthetic in this 1970’s pair of Dal Vera bedside tables, while bright brass handles and base are strong eye-catching touches. The brass handles on the drawers are lovely examples of high-quality craftsmanship. The design was inspired by mid-century modern powerhouse Gabriella Crespi and the French Riviera trend. With its compact proportions and light brown color, it would be a tasteful addition to any bedroom. Fully cleaned and restored, this pair is in great vintage condition.
About Dal Vera
Dal Vera was an Italian manufacturer known for bar carts and serving trolleys produced from the mid century into the 1970s. Its catalogue ranged from brass and glass trolleys to rattan and bamboo pieces and, in the 1970s, moulded plastic carts in bold colours with integrated bottle holders. These pieces capture the Italian taste for domestic entertaining. Collectors look for complete carts with original wheels, trays and bottle racks.
