The story
The Cabin View Simple Mirror (M) is an oval wall mirror by Rudy Guénaire, from the Croisière collection.
Its form is a slender vertical oval, proportions tight and elongated. The frame is cream lacquered wood with a deep, smooth profile, the inner edge contoured to draw attention toward the reflective center. The lacquer is applied in a matte finish, consistent across the curved surface without glare. The reflective surface within is glass.
The cream lacquer sits close in tone to bone or pale linen, a neutral that reads against plaster, stone, or painted walls without competing with the room's existing palette.
Cabin View takes its reference from the circular and oval portholes of ocean liners and early long-haul aircraft, the openings that frame the world at speed and altitude. For the Croisière collection, Rudy Guénaire elongated the porthole into a vertical oval, giving it the axis of a window rather than a hatch.
About Rudy Guénaire

Rudy Guénaire draws everything by hand. No 3D software, no renderings, just pencil on paper, from floor plans to furniture to napkin holders. It is the most legible fact about how he works, and it shapes what his spaces feel like: particular, considered, resistant to the generic.
He came to design sideways. A graduate of HEC, he co-founded PNY (Paris New York) in 2012 as a restaurateur, and it was through building out successive PNY locations across Paris, Lyon, Strasbourg, and Bordeaux that he discovered a talent for interior design. Working alongside architects CUT and Bernard Dubois sharpened that instinct further. In 2021, he formalized the practice as Studio Night Flight, a name taken from Saint-Exupéry.
