The story
The M_010 is a dining table in travertine, part of the Monolith Collection by Marc Personick. A long rectangular slab forms the top; two stacked block-like supports anchor each end, their layered profiles creating the only visual interruption in an otherwise austere silhouette.
Marc Personick designed the M_010 within a strict formal logic: structural elements are never hidden and ornamental elements are absent. The base reads as raw geology more than furniture craft. The slight overhang of the top beyond each support reinforces the horizontal tension the piece depends on.
Travertine is the material throughout. Pale cream in tone with darker striations and open pores, it is left with its natural texture rather than polished. That decision keeps the stone present and direct in the room, not recessive.
The table accommodates eight to ten diners comfortably and becomes the formal anchor of any room it enters. Available through Monde Singulier as part of the Monolith Collection.
About Monolith
Monolith is a New York design studio and gallery founded in 2023 by Marc Personick. The practice centers on one formal idea: brutalist furniture design that belongs in the home with the same authority it occupies in architecture. Every piece begins with geometry and mass, then submits to the logic of the material.
Stone and wood structure the Monolith palette. Travertine, volcanic and porous, arrives cream-colored and marked by natural incident: veining, pores, the record of its formation. White oak runs warmer and more immediate, offsetting the stone's geological weight. Together, the two materials define the studio's range: neither polished nor rough, but deliberately between.
Delivery
Every piece is packed and shipped under insurance, from the workshop to you. White glove delivery (unpacking, installation, packaging removal) is available on request. Delivery is not charged at checkout: we send you a quote within 24 business hours of your order. You have 5 days to accept and pay it (secure payment link or bank transfer), otherwise your order is cancelled and fully refunded.
