The story
The M_008 is a console table in travertine, part of the Monolith Collection by Marc Personick. Three cylindrical pillars of varying heights stand side by side, their forms conjoined into a single undulating mass. The result is something between furniture and sculpture, a distinction the Monolith Collection consistently refuses to resolve.
Each pillar is carved with travertine's characteristic porous surface visible. The material's natural dark flecks interrupt the pale cream field without pattern or symmetry, making each unit distinct. The varying heights of the three columns create a gentle ascending and descending line, the only gesture toward movement in a formally static object.
As a console, the M_008 functions along an entryway wall or behind a sofa. Its low profile and organic contour contrast with the rectilinear forms typical of the category. Marc Personick designed it in the same language as the M_006 and M_017 consoles, stone as primary argument, form as consequence of material logic.

About Monolith
Monolith is a New York design studio and gallery founded in 2023 by Marc Personick. The practice centers on one formal idea: brutalist furniture design that belongs in the home with the same authority it occupies in architecture. Every piece begins with geometry and mass, then submits to the logic of the material.
Stone and wood structure the Monolith palette. Travertine, volcanic and porous, arrives cream-colored and marked by natural incident: veining, pores, the record of its formation. White oak runs warmer and more immediate, offsetting the stone's geological weight. Together, the two materials define the studio's range: neither polished nor rough, but deliberately between.
Delivery
Every piece is packed and shipped under insurance, from the workshop to you. White glove delivery (unpacking, installation, packaging removal) is available on request. Delivery is not charged at checkout: we send you a quote within 24 business hours of your order. You have 5 days to accept and pay it (secure payment link or bank transfer), otherwise your order is cancelled and fully refunded.
