The story

The Orso Sofa by Mathieu Delacroix is a compact two-seater sofa from the Orso collection, a Monde Singulier exclusive.

Back and armrests form a single continuous curve, enclosing the seat in a closed, protective volume. The monolithic silhouette rests on a recessed dark plinth, leaving a narrow gap between upholstery and floor. Nothing projects beyond the form's outer boundary.

A muted brown-grey textile covers the piece throughout. The consistent tone keeps attention on the shape rather than the surface.

Mathieu Delacroix designed the Orso collection around the idea of a compact silhouette that integrates without imposing. The Orso Sofa carries that intention at sofa scale: two seats in a footprint closer to an armchair, a formal balance between contemporary restraint and the warmth of a well-proportioned seat.
