The story
The form spreads before it rises: a broad, low dome set on a base of three rounded lobe protrusions. Each lobe intersects the next to form a scalloped, cloud-like foundation. From the front, the silhouette reads as an arch; from below, the three lobes describe overlapping circles. The surface is chamotte, off-white, sandy and matte. The aperture for the bulb is positioned at the back or underside.
In the Les Objets series, Objet 4 is the most horizontal piece in this batch. Johanna de Clisson's three-lobe base is a formal signature: an arrangement that gives the dome a triple point of contact with the surface while keeping the ground plan soft and unresolved. The scalloped edge is the only source of visual movement in an otherwise grounded and settled form.

About Johanna de Clisson
Artistic director, designer and ceramist, Johanna de Clisson is a complete artist. A graduate of ENSAD (National School of Decorative Arts), she began by practicing photography, working with a large-format view camera on still life.
In 2021, she created her label Hiromi, meaning “free-spirited beauty” in Japanese, a research studio specialized in design and ceramics. Her creations blend rough textured chamotte earthenware and sensual touch cracked enamel she sometimes associates with metal or wood in her immaculate studio-laboratory in the north of Paris.

Every piece is packed and shipped under insurance, from the workshop to you. White glove delivery (unpacking, installation, packaging removal) is available on request. Delivery is not charged at checkout: we send you a quote within 24 business hours of your order. You have 5 days to accept and pay it (secure payment link or bank transfer), otherwise your order is cancelled and fully refunded.
