The Egg Lounge Chair works with a single formal idea: the enveloping curve. Back, seat, and armrests fold into one continuous upholstered form, the lines moving without interruption from back to side to front. The fabric is a light beige textured textile, its visual softness reinforcing the rounded volume above.
The base is a polished gold-toned metal plinth. It lifts the upholstered volume above the floor and introduces a sharp material contrast: the warmth of the textile against the hard, precise finish of the metal. This is the chair's organizing tension. Volume above, precision below. Neither element concedes to the other.
Alexander Díaz Andersson returns to this formal pairing across the ATRA 2100 collection, working soft textile against metallic accent as a recurring argument. In the Egg Lounge Chair, the gold plinth does not merely support the seat; it frames the upholstered volume above it, converting a beige lounge chair into a collectible object. A luxury enveloping lounge chair for interiors that want presence without gesture.
