Intermezzo

Intermezzo is a design collaboration between Atelier de Troupe and Milan studio Studioutte, built around the idea of liminal space: the charged interval between process and completion, presence and absence.

The collection pairs Studioutte's furniture with lighting designed by De Troupe and manufactured in Italy, alongside carpets produced by cc-tapis. Taken together, the pieces create an atmosphere that is cinematic but restrained, a suspended moment rather than a resolved interior.

Pieces such as the Piano Stool, the Odeon L sectional, and the Numero III lighting fixture anchor the collection's language: dark lacquered wood, warm upholstered forms, angular geometries that open rather than close a room. The cc-tapis carpets, conceived by Studioutte, connect the pieces across the floor plane.

De Troupe's Italian-made lighting brings the studio's precision fabrication into a collaborative context where two distinct design sensibilities converge.
