The story

The Floor Lamp 10527 is a 1972 design by Michel Mortier, first published by Verre Lumière and now reissued by Disderot with production methods calibrated to the original.

The form is composed with economy: a slender cylindrical stem rises from a flat circular base and carries a rounded opaline glass shade. Every proportion serves the light. The gradient finish moves continuously from the shade down to the base, giving the piece a formal coherence that a single-colour version would not achieve. In photograph and in room, the lamp reads as one uninterrupted gesture.

The stem and base are cast and finished in aluminium. The shade is opaline glass, blown to the original dimensions. For Monde Singulier, Disderot releases the 10527 in three exclusive gradient colorways: Beige, Green, and Blue.

The 10527 is one half of a pair. The Table Lamp 10497, designed the same year to the same formal logic, is available alongside it in the Disderot collection. Each piece carries a numbered certificate of authenticity.

Disderot is a French lighting publisher focused on reviving lamps conceived during the postwar decades of French modernism, from the 1950s through the 1970s. The house works from the archive of the Ateliers Pierre Disderot, a lighting publisher that collaborated with architects and independent designers throughout that era.
