About Sergio Rodrigues
Brazilian architect and designer (1927-2014) who opened the Oca shop in Rio de Janeiro in 1955 to promote Brazilian modern furniture. His Mole armchair of 1957, made of jacaranda with leather straps and a generous cushion, won first prize at the Cantù furniture competition in 1961. Collectors seek early pieces produced by Oca and his own workshops, in jacaranda and original leather.
