About Sabine Charoy
French designer active in the 1970s, known for lighting produced by Verre Lumière. Her table lamps, floor lamps and ceiling lights, including the Penguin lamp, combine lacquered metal, chrome and glass in soft, curved forms. Her work is represented by galleries such as Demisch Danant. Collectors seek original examples with their period shades and finishes, which capture the refined simplicity of French lighting of the decade.
