A stoneware vase thrown at La Borne in 1940 and fired in a wood kiln, the traditional technique of this pottery village in the Cher. The glaze keeps the variations of tone left by flame and ash.

About Lucien Talbot
Lucien Talbot belonged to the tradition of the potters of La Borne, the village in the Cher where wood-fired stoneware has been made for centuries. His pieces carry the deep, variegated glazes produced by the flame and ash of the wood kiln.
