The story

Pretty little roud box by Line Vautrin made in the 1960s. It is circular in shape, in orange tinted talosel, the lid inlaid with fragments of dark grey tinted mirror forming a marguerite or daisy flower, the bottom of the box centred with a fragment of mirror dark grey tinted. A collectible piece, with a nice decorative presence for a bedroom or dressing room, found in a very good vintage condition. Perfect as a gift, it can be used as a ring or jewellery box.

About Line Vautrin

French artist (1913-1997) who began in the 1930s with gilt bronze jewellery, buttons and boxes rich in wordplay and poetic imagery. From the 1950s she developed Talosel, a cellulose acetate resin inlaid with coloured mirror fragments, which she used for her famous mirrors, including the Soleil à pointes. Collectors seek signed mirrors in good condition, whose delicate material makes them increasingly rare.
