About Jean-Pierre Vitrac

French designer Jean-Pierre Vitrac founded his own design agency in the late 1960s and worked across furniture, lighting, objects and industrial design. His 1970s pieces, among them the Imbroglio perpetual wall calendar and the Strigam lamp, use plastics, metal and bold colour with playful, graphic invention. Collectors look for his lamps and furniture from the 1970s in good original condition, which capture the optimism of French pop design.
