About Jacques Dumond

Jacques Dumond (1923-1988) was a French interior architect and furniture designer active from the late 1940s. He designed tables, desks, seating and storage, often in solid wood and later in lacquered and metal structures, with a sculptural treatment of legs and edges. His work belongs to the refined, architectural strand of French post-war design. Collectors value his free-form tables and cabinets for their elegant, precise lines.
