About Gino Sarfatti

Gino Sarfatti (1912-1985) was an Italian lighting designer who founded Arteluce in Milan in 1939. Over more than three decades he designed several hundred lamps, combining technical innovation with elegant use of brass, lacquered aluminium and glass. Models such as the 2097 chandelier and the 1063 floor lamp remain references. Arteluce was acquired by Flos in 1973. Collectors seek original Arteluce production, labels and components.
