About Filippo Panseca
Filippo Panseca, born in Palermo in 1940, is an Italian artist and designer who worked in Milan. In the 1970s he designed lighting for Kartell, including the table lamp model 4044 in chrome and neon, a piece that reflects his interest in light as an artistic medium. His wider practice ranges from painting and installation to scenography. Collectors seek his Kartell lamps for their rarity and their clear, experimental use of industrial materials.
