The story
This is a very rare and unique Italian bench ottoman designed by Carla Sozzani for her gallery in Milano in the 1990s. With strong architectural lines, the handmade steel structure is a work of art. It has been fully restored, and newly upholstered with a soft mohair velvet fabric by Dedar, in light dusty rose. A truly one of a kind piece staging piece to display in a large living room, or a dressing room.
About Carla Sozzani
Italian editor, gallerist and entrepreneur born in 1947, Carla Sozzani worked on fashion magazines before opening the Galleria Carla Sozzani in Milan in 1990, followed by 10 Corso Como in 1991. The concept store, gallery and bookshop mixed fashion, design, photography and food, and became a reference worldwide. Objects and editions associated with her reflect a sharp curatorial eye, with a taste for graphic contrast, craftsmanship and unexpected juxtapositions.
