The story
The Cloud Coffee Table L is a low walnut coffee table by [Louise Liljencrantz](/designers/veermakers), part of the [Veermakers Collection](/collections/veermakers_collection).
The tabletop follows an undulating, freeform silhouette — its outline recalls a cloud or an amoeba, with no straight lines and no axis of symmetry. Four light grey oval inserts sit flush with the dark walnut surface, their smooth contrasting material creating geometric punctuation within the organic form. Five cylindrical walnut legs support the piece, placed at intervals that respond to the tabletop's shape rather than any regular grid.
The top and legs are solid walnut in a dark finish. The grey oval inlays are a separate material, their pale smooth surface functioning as both a practical detail and a visual counterpoint to the wood. The interplay of these two surface qualities — warm textured wood and cool smooth inlays — is a characteristic of the piece.
The Cloud series is one of the most recognizable formal gestures in Veermakers' catalog: the biomorphic silhouette applied across table sizes, producing pieces that carry equal weight as sculptural objects and functioning furniture.
About Veermakers
Louise Liljencrantz and KFK Cabinet Makers, a Stockholm-based joinery firm, launched Veermakers in 2021, building on years of collaboration that had already produced LKFK Edition in 2017.
The studio works from a premise it calls slow design: each piece is made to last rather than to trend. Solid walnut, oak, Italian travertine, and steel burned in linseed oil are the materials of choice. Lighting pieces carry handwoven silk shades made in the Stockholm atelier. Most production happens in-house; specialist manufacturers handle select materials, as with the Italian travertine used in the Frank and Arrow Lamps.

Every piece is packed and shipped under insurance, from the workshop to you. White glove delivery (unpacking, installation, packaging removal) is available on request. Delivery is not charged at checkout: we send you a quote within 24 business hours of your order. You have 5 days to accept and pay it (secure payment link or bank transfer), otherwise your order is cancelled and fully refunded.
