The story
The Arrow Table Lamp L is a sculptural table lamp by [Louise Liljencrantz](/designers/veermakers), part of the [Veermakers Collection](/collections/veermakers_collection).
A sphere of Italian travertine anchors the base, its pale porous surface carrying the stone's natural variations. From it rises a slender dark metal stem supporting a wide conical shade in off-white woven fabric — a form that establishes a clear dialogue between the earth-bound mineral base and the airy spread of textile above. The proportions are deliberately asymmetric: dense stone below, light fabric above.
The travertine is sourced from Italian quarries. The silk shade is handwoven in Stockholm, a practice that runs through all Veermakers lighting pieces and distinguishes them from any industrial equivalent. The dark metal stem, matte black in finish, functions as a structural line that holds the two materials in relation without competing with either.
Compared to the Frank, the Arrow has a more vertical presence — the stem gives it height without sacrificing the material restraint that defines the studio's approach to lighting.
About Veermakers
Louise Liljencrantz and KFK Cabinet Makers, a Stockholm-based joinery firm, launched Veermakers in 2021, building on years of collaboration that had already produced LKFK Edition in 2017.
The studio works from a premise it calls slow design: each piece is made to last rather than to trend. Solid walnut, oak, Italian travertine, and steel burned in linseed oil are the materials of choice. Lighting pieces carry handwoven silk shades made in the Stockholm atelier. Most production happens in-house; specialist manufacturers handle select materials, as with the Italian travertine used in the Frank and Arrow Lamps.
Delivery
Every piece is packed and shipped under insurance, from the workshop to you. White glove delivery (unpacking, installation, packaging removal) is available on request. Delivery is not charged at checkout: we send you a quote within 24 business hours of your order. You have 5 days to accept and pay it (secure payment link or bank transfer), otherwise your order is cancelled and fully refunded.
