The story
The Straight Sofa (medium) is an upholstered three-seater from the Mise en Scène collection by Tatjana von Stein, built for rooms where scale and softness need to coexist.
The upholstery is an off-white bouclé, a textured textile that reads warm at a distance and tactile close up. The sofa sits on a slim pale cream base that runs the length of the piece, a horizontal line that keeps the profile close to the ground without burdening the silhouette. Armrests and backrest curve into each other without a seam break, a continuous surface that gives the piece its unified, composed reading.
The medium format sits between the smaller and larger versions in the Mise en Scène seating family, offering a three-seat form suited to the proportions of most private rooms. As with all pieces in the collection, it was designed in response to Tatjana von Stein's interest in movement and the psychology of inhabited space.
Made-to-order with French artisans at Aurige, each sofa is numbered, signed, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
About Tatjana von Stein
Tatjana von Stein works from London as a collectible furniture designer, bringing a French-German perspective to a practice that moves between interior architecture and sculptural form.
Her approach centers on the psychology of space: the premise that furniture shapes how people feel in a room as much as it furnishes it. Von Stein established her reputation as co-founder of Sella Concept in 2016, an interior architecture practice that sharpened her understanding of how objects and enclosure interact. In 2023 she founded her eponymous studio, turning that accumulated thinking toward made-to-order collectible furniture, pieces numbered and signed, each delivered with a certificate of authenticity.

Every piece is packed and shipped under insurance, from the workshop to you. White glove delivery (unpacking, installation, packaging removal) is available on request. Delivery is not charged at checkout: we send you a quote within 24 business hours of your order. You have 5 days to accept and pay it (secure payment link or bank transfer), otherwise your order is cancelled and fully refunded.
