The story
The Sectional Sofa is a curved modular piece by Tatjana von Stein, part of the Mise en Scène collection.
Built from three upholstered segments, the sofa curves along a single unbroken line, its low profile and rounded armrests giving it the quality of a continuous sculptural gesture. The form avoids the right angle entirely, following instead the arcing logic of movement that runs through the Mise en Scène collection as a whole.
The upholstery is a vibrant mustard yellow textile, bold in any room, with a finish that holds light evenly across the curved surfaces. The base is a recessed, continuous element in warm gold-tone metal, its horizontal precision acting as visual counterweight to the softness of the cushioned body above. Produced with the French artisan group Aurige, each sofa is made-to-order, numbered, signed, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

About Tatjana von Stein
Tatjana von Stein works from London as a collectible furniture designer, bringing a French-German perspective to a practice that moves between interior architecture and sculptural form.
Her approach centers on the psychology of space: the premise that furniture shapes how people feel in a room as much as it furnishes it. Von Stein established her reputation as co-founder of Sella Concept in 2016, an interior architecture practice that sharpened her understanding of how objects and enclosure interact. In 2023 she founded her eponymous studio, turning that accumulated thinking toward made-to-order collectible furniture, pieces numbered and signed, each delivered with a certificate of authenticity.
