The story
The Neutrino Table Lamp is a lighting piece by Max Brockbank, part of the Studio Brocky Collection, built around a hand-blown glass shade produced in London.
The shade is wide and hemispherical, its surface mottled with the reddish-orange tones that emerge when heat, gravity, and a glassblower's hands work together without a fixed mould. No two shades come out the same: the mottling shifts, the edge thickness varies, and the light diffuses differently through each piece. Below the shade, a tapered conical base in an earthy brown material, wood or cast aluminium, supports the lamp with a mass that grounds the organic form above it.
Light radiates outward from beneath the shade and softly illuminates the glass itself, the reddish surface glowing from within. The overall silhouette, cap broad and base tapering to a narrow point, gives the Neutrino its distinctive mushroom-like form.
Part of the Studio Brocky Collection, the Neutrino Table Lamp occupies the same territory as the Vanguard seating and the Capsule Pedestal: British craft tradition expressed through references that run from organic form to space-age design. It is made in England.
About Studio Brocky

Max Brockbank is the founder and designer behind Studio Brocky, a British design practice making sculptural furniture and lighting by hand in England.
Brockbank grew up in a small, once industry-fuelled town in North-East England, where making things once meant everything. When industry faded, he felt its absence first-hand. That silence became the engine behind a lifelong drive to design objects that endure. After shaping collections for major labels in New York and London, he established Studio Brocky as a return to craft and meaning over mass-market noise.
