The story
The Ira Console is the statement entrance piece from Studio Akademos' Collection 01, the Paris studio's inaugural furniture line, released by an AD 100 practice founded only in 2021. Named for the Latin root of passion, Ira arrives with a charged, theatrical presence suited to a cinematic entrance hall or the space behind a principal sofa.
Studio Akademos builds every piece around a single founding question: what story does this convey? The console's elongated silhouette, considered proportions, and deliberate detail work make the answer unmistakable. This is a room where arrival is an event, not a transition.
The studio's aesthetic draws from three reference worlds held in precise tension: the lavish grandeur of the Café Society golden age, the geometric rigour of the 1970s avant-garde, and a rigorous attention to contemporary function. Nothing is gratuitous. Every decision is justified.

About Studio Akademos
Studio Akademos is a Paris interior design and furniture studio, founded in 2021. Within three years of opening, it joined the AD 100 (Architectural Digest's annual list of the world's leading designers), a recognition that reflects both the quality of its residential interiors and the precision of its furniture editions.
The studio builds its aesthetic from three distinct historical sources: the opulent sociability of Café Society at its interwar peak, the avant-garde formal confidence of European design in the 1970s, and the functional precision that contemporary domestic life demands. The combination is not decorative nostalgia. Each source era is studied at depth before a project begins, and every decision, from proportion to material to surface finish, must be traceable back to that foundation. Material selection is part of the same rigour: each surface is chosen for what it contributes to the narrative the piece is meant to carry.
Delivery
Every piece is packed and shipped under insurance, from the workshop to you. White glove delivery (unpacking, installation, packaging removal) is available on request. Delivery is not charged at checkout: we send you a quote within 24 business hours of your order. You have 5 days to accept and pay it (secure payment link or bank transfer), otherwise your order is cancelled and fully refunded.
