The story
The SSS01W Stool Right is a substantial side piece from the Sashaxsasha Collection, built from MDF and finished in burgundy eucalyptus veneer.
Two thick rectangular legs carry a top that extends well past them to the right, producing a deliberate cantilever. The projection is significant. It reads as a structural argument rather than an ornament. Combined with the deep reddish-brown and near-black tones of the wood, the result is a piece whose mass and geometry are precisely calculated.
The veneer surface is among the most figured in the collection, shifting from burgundy to near-black depending on the light. This material intensity works with the architectural silhouette rather than against it.
Sashaxsasha studio was founded in Paris in 2019 by architects Alexandra Gineva and Alexander Dobrovskiy, whose careers began in Moscow and whose training took them to Ghent. Their objects carry that biography, a sensibility that reads structure as form and material as content. The SSS01W Stool Right is available exclusively through Monde Singulier.
About Sashaxsasha
Alexandra Gineva and Alexander Dobrovskiy, both nicknamed Sasha, met while studying architecture in Ghent, Belgium, far from their native Moscow. That shared name became a design identity: sashaxsasha. In 2013 they founded Masterskaya Be, an architecture practice; in 2019 they launched sashaxsasha as a dedicated product design studio, based in Paris.
The two disciplines remain inseparable in their work. Architecture gives their objects weight and proportion; art, contemporary and classical, drawn from a lifetime of looking, provides the narrative. Each piece reads as a compressed argument: formal in construction, personal at its core. The studio describes its work as playful and monumental, and that tension is deliberate: a lamp can carry the gravity of a monument, a shelf can hold the lightness of a sketch.

Every piece is packed and shipped under insurance, from the workshop to you. White glove delivery (unpacking, installation, packaging removal) is available on request. Delivery is not charged at checkout: we send you a quote within 24 business hours of your order. You have 5 days to accept and pay it (secure payment link or bank transfer), otherwise your order is cancelled and fully refunded.
