**Vanda was her name, gentle was a warning.**

Gentle Vanda is a cabinet from the third chapter of YES, OFF COURSE, conceived as an architectural presence that refuses to disappear into the room. Its height, stepped silhouette, and sharply defined vertical planes give storage the proportions of a monument rather than a conventional domestic object. The composition is controlled but never entirely symmetrical. A central pair of doors rises through a sequence of offsets and recesses, while triangular surfaces of radica wood interrupt the ivory-white lacquer. The contrast is not ornamental. It gives the piece its tension, drawing attention to what is exposed and what remains concealed.\

Piano-black lacquer, ivory-white lacquer, radica wood, and mirror establish a dialogue between solid surfaces and reflection. Gentle Vanda stands perfectly still, yet suggests that something behind its doors has not.\

Its name promises gentleness.\

Its geometry offers no such guarantee.
