The story
Porto Chair No2 is a solid walnut chair by Project 213A, part of the Project 213A Collection launched in 2024.
The backrest tapers upward and carries three cutouts: two circular holes and a central diamond shape that give it an almost heraldic graphic quality. The seat is flat and solid. The front legs incorporate arched openings, a recurring element in the Porto series that reduces the visual weight of each piece without diminishing structural solidity. The walnut is dark, its warm brown grain running clearly across all carved surfaces.
Hand carved by skilled artisans in Northern Portugal, Porto Chair No2 is one of eight chairs in the Project 213A Collection, each with a distinct backrest pattern and leg configuration, all worked from the same solid walnut block.
Each piece is produced in Project 213A's in-house wood workshops using traditional carving techniques passed down through the craft communities of Northern Portugal.
About Project 213A
Project 213A is a Portuguese design house founded in 2021 by Jurgita Dileviciute, Theresa Marx, and Clement Deboeuf. The name comes from a London address where each founder lived at separate points during their studies, a shared geography that preceded their professional collaboration.
The idea for the studio took shape during the 2020 lockdown, when the three founders combined their professional backgrounds to build something together. Project 213A has operated from in-house ceramic and wood workshops in Northern Portugal since its launch, working alongside skilled local artisans whose traditional craftsmanship shapes every piece in the catalog.

Every piece is packed and shipped under insurance, from the workshop to you. White glove delivery (unpacking, installation, packaging removal) is available on request. Delivery is not charged at checkout: we send you a quote within 24 business hours of your order. You have 5 days to accept and pay it (secure payment link or bank transfer), otherwise your order is cancelled and fully refunded.
